Following a request from the National Consultative Ethics Committee, the Inserm Institutes “Cell biology, development, evolution” and “Pathophysiology, metabolism, nutrition” organize in cooperation with the Ethics Committee a one-day symposium on medium and long term health of children conceived by Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).
The symposium will present the current data on the follow-up of children conceived by ART, mainly by intraconjugal in vitro fertilization (IVF) / intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and on what is related to ART procedures or to other factors such as infertility of the parents. The ethical issues will also be addressed. The symposium will be composed of general and more specific lectures, led by international experts. A round table on questions raised and perspectives will close the day. The symposium will be held in English.
